Cuddy, of Detroit, not gaining admit-tance to his father's house, broke open the door, when a horrible sight met his gaze. The dead body of his father, Al-exander Cuddy, ageil (12, hung from a rafter and at his feet lay the disfigured body of his wife, aged 80. A deep gash on the woman's forehead showed how she had met her fate. Cuddy left a letter stating that he was jealous of his wife, that they lived unhappily together and that he thought it best that they both bo dead. ' The city of Weston, Pa., about a month ago elected a Prohibition mayor and council. The refusal to grant liquor licenses cut down the estimated revenues for tho year nearly 00 per cent. Isaac de-coyed Hiram to Rochester, N . Y., and drove him to a point near the camp, where he was turned over- to Jack.
