Their academy, MP USA, offers classes for children and adults who want to get more in tune with nature and their mind, body, and spirit connection. MP is special because of its unique ability to quickly develop, harness, and control large amounts of tenaga dalam or inner power. (Also called Chi, Ki, Prana, Subtle Energy, or Bio Energy.) Using a very specific and proprietary series of body postures, breathing techniques, and meditation in a non-religious, nonsectarian biological way, Merpati Putih is truly one of the world’s rarities that allow its practitioners to feel this energy within themselves and use it to improve their lives very soon after beginning. This can noticeably increase overall heath and stamina, and has been shown to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and develop sharper mental focus and concentration. Nathan and Mike Zeleznick are the first Americans ever granted permission to be formally trained in MP. They began in late 1999, guided under the expert instruction of Dr. Heru Hendarto. Dr. Heru is a former MP trainer of the Indonesian Special Forces, and the only qualified instructor within 2,000 miles of Ogden. He just happened to live about 50 miles away in Salt Lake City while pursuing a master’s degree Children’s programs (ages 5-15) focus on character development, physical fitness, and creative ability as well as self defense. Mike and Nate state, “It’s all rolled into one awesome program specifically designed to develop self confidence, life excellence skills, and a ‘yes I can’ attitude.” Classes run Monday through Thursday from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. Adult classes (ages 16-70) share the ancient family legacy of the kings of Java, Indonesia, and the science of personal life energy, quickly teaching adults how to harness the electricity that runs their mind and Members of MP USA academy meditate on body.
