Black lace over cream caishinere would be an elegant combination. , Fig. 6 is a tea jacket of sage green barege, which is as soft and flexible at Veiling, etTged with an embroidered ruffle, the color being myrtle green, with tiny pink Fpecks of flowers. A glance ct the picture will show the style better than a description could. If desired, a full bow of n:irrow satin ribbon just the fchadtf of the flowers can be worn on the right ehoulder where the ruffle laps. This can be worn with any colored skirt except bine orange or purple. It can be made of cashmere veiling, surah or farmer's satin, which is very pretty material and considerably used. Fig. 6 is as suitable for a corsage for u dinner dress as a tea jacket If it is to be used as a tea jacket the fastening of the sleeves diould be let out so aa to lengthen them, and the sash should be loosened. The body of it is of mauve and white foulard, edged around with a deep flounce of cream white lace, and the sa.sh is of surah. The cascade and collar match that of the sleeves and waist. The wholo is very pretty and dressy, and adapted thus to several costumes and needs. Worn over a quite old black or other suitably colored skirt It becomes a part of a dainty, dressy costume.
