Impressive funeral services were held in the Springville First ward chapel Tuesday afternoon, July 22, for Beth Powell, year-old daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. May Burt Powell Huntington, Hunt-ington, who died at Pasadena, Calif., Friday, July IS, after suffering for more than a year with heart trouble. trou-ble. Mrs. Huntington took her little daughter to California more than eleven months ago at the advice of the physicians. The change of climate cli-mate did not seem to help her condition. con-dition. She was brought home over the S. L. & L. A. It. It. nud arrived home last Sunday night. John H. Wnnwnring of the ward bishopric was in charge. The invocation in-vocation was offered by John V. Wardsworth and the benediction by Myron A. Boyer. The speakers : were Ford Craudall and L. E. Eg-j Eg-j gertseu of Provo. Music was fur-! fur-! pished by a mixed quartet com-j com-j posed of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Brown, ; Miss Florence Simpkins and C. II. Childs. C. II. Childs gave a cello solo. Interment was in the Evergreen cemetery under the direction of A. Y. Wheeler, undertaker. The grave was dedicated by Bishop 0. B. Huntington. Members of the First ward Primary Pri-mary with the teachers attended in a body and helped to take care of the floral offering which was large and beautiful. The little girl la survived by lief mother and one half-sister, Mary Huntington. Her father lost his life iu France in the late World war. This is the second death in the family iu the last eight months. Eight months ago to the day Wanda Huntington was laid to rest in the same plot. This leaves Mr. and i Mrs. Huntington with a family now of one boy and two girls. |
