Show RICHMOND TO PLAY ' CACHE VALLEY j ALL-STARS SUNDAY ' Following the Utah-Idaho all-star all-star game played last Sunday in Franklin, the Richmond baseball team, winners of the eighth annual annu-al Little World Series, issued a challenge to the seven other teams in the tourney to play a picked team composed of two players from each club. The game will be held in Richmond next Sunday beginning begin-ning at 4 p. m. Last Sunday the Utah all-star club turned back the Idaho all-stars all-stars by the close score of 7 to 6. With the score tied at 6-aII going into the first half of the ninth inning, in-ning, Carl Nyman, Richmond outfielder, out-fielder, came to the plate with one man out and lifted one of Abner De.Mille's fast balls high and far over the left field wall to win the game. Errors allowed the Utah team to take a 5-0 lead in the first three 1111111163 WU LLVU1 LUCie UU UUL Llie Idaho team settled down to gradually gradu-ally creep up on the leaders and tie them in the eight inning. Abner DeMille went the route for the Idaho team while Albert Day, Stan Richaa-dson and Ray Hayes did the pitching for the Utah club. n n |
