Ogden ALC at Hill AFB, Utah; San Antonio ALC at Kelly AFB, Texas; Oklahoma City ALC at Tinker AFB, ALC at Okla.; and Warner-Robin- s Robins AFB, Ga.; along with Gunter AFB, Ala., will be the homes of the computer centers. These centers will act as service centers for computers and communications for base-levsystems. The processing centers will consolidate computer operations for 166 Air Force and Air National Guard bases and Air Force Reserve sites in the continental United States. The consolidation is being prototyped at Gunter this year. The group will function as one of five Air Force regional computer processing centers. As a part of the assignment, the group will get new rt el na, California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Utah. It is estimated that at least 65 new positions could be added to the local work force when the system is fully operational. The group will continue to provide all of the local computer functions it has now, including support programs for the various weapon systems at Hill. The aging SBLC represents a huge portion of Hill's computing capacity.
