PETERSEN . . . New Board Member Our members feel that we are deserving of such a building program in order to eliminate the inconvenience caused by the distance from school in Price. We feel that the distance the students are required to travel under the present circumstances actually costs them two hours per day and adds greatly to the expense and the worries of the parents. We are sure that you are fully aware of the many advantages to us and to you in addition to the disadvantages mentioned above, and therefore, we are taking this opportunity to request all consideration possible by you, the Board, to include in your plans for the next Bond Election a complete, accredited High School for East GOMER PEACOCK . . . This additional water, will hep this winter but it will require the cooperation of everyone in East Carbon to help make the supply last until next spring. The Carbon Sheet Metal plumbing and heating company is doing everything to complete the project by November 18, 1956. The' trenching which is being done by LaVell Staley should be completed early next week. We hope Mr. Staleys digger will hold up against the mass of boulders that he has been digging in the past three weeks. The Utah Power and Light Company is running a power line from Dragerton to the pump station at the Big Springs Ranch. This should be completed by the time that pumps are received and installed. Ira Wells and sons are moving the houses and ranch biuldings away from the Springs. The entire area will be cleaned up and fenced so that the water can be kept free from contamination. The State Board of Health has helped us with the planning and will check the compete installation before it is put into operation. We have just received word that one of the pumps will be shipped November 9th. This will make it possible to complete the job almost a month earlier than had been planned. - Mr. and Mrs. Pilling, who" have lived on the ranch for many, years have been very helpful in getting the project started. We. do hope that they will be benefited by .the new installations. rthfc The ATTENTION The Carbon County Ladies Democrats of West Carbon are inviting .the East Carbon Lady Democrats to join them in their monthly meeting November 19 at 2 p.m. in the Price city hall club room.
