You'll enjoy a noon or evening picnic in Box Elder county park. - Almost the minute you leave the city limits of Brigham City at the east edge of town, you'll find it is cooler. Four miles up the canyon a large forest service sign marks the road into the park. In just a few hundred yards you'll start coming to shaded cool, private picnic sites, complete with fireplaces, tables and benches, and water hydrants with pure, safe mountain spring water. If you like, drive on up to the main park. At the ranger station you may check out softball equipment or horseshoes for recreation, at no cost. There are teeter-totter- s and swings for the kids. Be sure to visit Box Elder county park an ideal picnic spot, and only four or five miles from the center of Brigham City. . . . PICNIC IN BOX ELDER COUNTY. PARK. It is an oddity that the bodies of these shrimps show no taste of salt. If they were large enough to be eaten, they would have to be salted to ,be palatable. Box Elder county has the greatest farm acreage of any county in the state. Annually more than 5,000 carloads of fruits, vegetables, grains, eggs, turkeys and livestock are shipped from her farms. The center for all of this activity in western Box Elder county is Tremonton, the gateway to all and the points north and business center of the district. The highways leading out of Tremonton take you to western Box Elder county, north and west to Burley and the great Northwest, and north to Malad, Pocatello, and points north.
